Each of our handcrafted wines are subjected to a rigorous two-tiered selection process -- hand selected by top experts, then tested by the exclusive USA TODAY Tasting Panel made up of readers like you.

The Tasting Event

A tasting panel is a hosted event with 10 participants and a wine expert who takes the participant panel through several rounds or "flights" of wine. For each round that is served, participants vote on what they’ve tasted by seeing, swirling, smelling, and of course, sipping.

Our experts sequence the tasting of the wines from white to red. Each serving round is grouped by type, so Chardonnays are tasted together, as are Merlots, and so forth. We do about 5 rounds, with 2-3 glasses served in each round. Then there’s the voting and reveal, which always offers surprises and more comments. Only the winners go into the selections for the Club. How to Participate

Do you enjoy drinking wine? Help us find the very best. Just send an email to readertastings@usatodaywineclub.com with your name, address and phone number. We want to know a little about your experience with wine. In the email, please tell us whether you meet the following Tasting Panel requirements:

• Over 21
• Read USA TODAY
• Drink both red and white wine
• Regularly purchase at least 3 bottles a month

If you meet these requirements we will be happy to invite you to our next wine tasting panel held in your area.
