What does it mean to be a USA TODAY Wine Club member?
As a USA TODAY Wine Club member, you will receive a quarterly USA TODAY reader-approved shipment of 6 bottles of wine for $69.99 (plus $11.99 shipping & local tax). All future shipments will be the same great price as your first shipment -- 6 new wines for just $69.99 and $11.99 s/h. Plus, Club Members get exclusive wine tasting and shopping benefits.

When will my USA TODAY Wine Club Purchase Arrive?
Your initial purchase will arrive 2-10 days from the initial purchase date. Ongoing shipments will be sent once every three months.

Why is the USA TODAY Wine Club easier than buying at your local wine store?
It's hard to choose new wines without buying at least a few "misses" that don't live up to expectations. Our selection process means there are fewer misses for Club Members. We've narrowed our selection down through screenings of wine experts and tasting panels made up of USA TODAY readers. This combination of talent and taste ensures you'll receive wines that are proven to be popular with readers like you.

What are the USA TODAY Wine Club fees?
There are no membership fees to be part of the USA TODAY Wine Club.

Are there hidden fees or additional charges?
The wine club price is $69.99 & shipping is $11.99 for all your shipments. As applicable, local tax required by your state, will be applied. There are no hidden fees, no contract and no obligation.

How will I be charged for my USA TODAY Wine Club?
Each quarterly shipment will be charged to the credit card account that you have set up. You will be notified via email that your order is on its way, at which time your card will also be charged.

Can I Cancel?
Of course you can! We hope you don't, but we'll process your request quickly. Please call us at 866-813-4411 to update your account accordingly.

Can I buy additional wine?
Absolutely! You can always purchase wine through the wine shop on the site. Find a wine you love and buy a set of 3 or 6 in our Wine Shop.

Can I buy wine if I am not a USA TODAY Wine Club member?
Yes, anyone can buy the 3 or 6 bottle packs of individual wines in our Wine Shop. However, the club shipment with six different wines is only available as part of the club.

Do USA TODAY Wine Club members receive additional discounts?
Yes, USA TODAY Club Members will receive an exclusive 10% discount on all Wine Shop orders. Plus, there will be periodic special offers.

Will the wines in the quarterly shipments change?
Yes! Each quarter you will receive a new set of 6 wines to enjoy. We are always running wine tasting panels that help us decide what to include in the next quarterly package. All wines have a limit on production, so we are continuously sourcing the best new wines for you.

What comes in a USA TODAY Wine Club shipment?
You'll get tasting notes for your wines, so you can learn as you sip. And your living room won't be full of messy shipping materials. All our packaging is "green" and can also be used to store your wines.

What are tasting notes?
For your enjoyment, we provide additional details on each wine to expand your knowledge about what you are drinking, where it is from and any additional details our wine experts believe are necessary for your ultimate wine experience.

What does the Satisfaction Guarantee mean?
No risk. No joke: If you are not absolutely satisfied, neither are we. Call us or email us so we can work with you to replace it, substitute a new wine, or give a refund.

Do the wines go well only with specific foods?
We believe there are no official rules on pairing wine with your food. It's fun to experiment and try new combinations. As a guide to help if you want, each wine has tasting notes prepared by the wine experts on their suggestions to match a wine with your courses.

What is a tasting panel?
My Wines Direct runs a tasting panel that includes about 10 USA TODAY readers, who vote on whether they like a wine or not. We run the same sets of wine tasting panels coast to coast, then tally the votes. The winners that rise to the top are then offered to all our Club Members.

How do I participate in a tasting panel?
Please email us at readertastings@usatodaywineclub.com. Tell us where you live and we will advise you of the next tasting in your local area.

What is in MyAccount?
To make sending your next shipment and any ordering easier for you, we save your account information. Your MyAccount page includes 3 key elements:

  1. Your shipping and billing information. If it's more convenient for you, you can even maintain multiple shipping addresses.
  2. Your order history. If you want to select a past favorite or remember what was in your shipment, you can find it here.
  3. MyRatings. It's not easy to remember wines. Keep your own tasting notes as a handy reference on your thoughts about the wines you've purchased.


I'm having trouble at log-in. What should I do?
If you've purchased online before:

  • Your user id is your email address you used to purchase. Your password is a minimum of 6 characters with one numeric or punctuation field.
  • Still can't remember your password?
    • Write us an e-mail at memberservices@usatodaywineclub.com and we will send you a temporary password.
    • You can also click on the link at log-in and a password will automatically be sent to the email address you supplied at purchase.

If you ordered by telephone:

  • Your user ID is the email address you used to purchase. You were provided a temporary password of 6 characters with a couple of numeric fields.
  • If you can't remember that password, you can
    • Write us an e-mail at memberservices@usatodaywineclub.com and we will send you a temporary password.
    • You can also click on the link at log-in and a password will automatically be sent to the email address you supplied at purchase.
  • If you did not have an email address, you were given one to use. If you can not remember it, please call customer service and they will help you. You can reach them at 866-813-4411

If you have not purchased before:

  • Login as new to USA TODAY wine, and create your user ID (email address) and password. You can then continue to complete your purchase.

Shipping FAQs

How much does shipping cost?
The shipping charge for your quarterly shipment is $11.99.  The shipping charges for items purchased in the Wine Store are as follows:
 - One 3 bottle set $9.99 (add $10 for 2 day)
 - Two 3 bottle sets $13.99 (add $12 for 2 day)
 - One or two 6 bottle sets $13.99 (add $12 for 2 day)

Do I need to be home to sign for the delivery? What if I'm not home?
Someone age 21 or older must be home to sign for the delivery. If you are not home, the delivery carrier will make 3 delivery attempts. If you think that you will not be home for a delivery, you may consider sending your wine to a business address or neighbor who is home.

If I am not available to sign for delivery, can someone else in the household sign for it, if they are under 21?
Only if the person is over 21, can they sign. They do not have to be the purchaser, but they must be over 21 and will be asked for ID. No one under 21 is legally able to accept the wine shipment.

How are my wine orders shipped?
We will ship orders to you using a variety of carriers, namely, FedEx and UPS, depending on state availability and state regulatory requirements.

Are there any restrictions on the type of address the USA TODAY Wine Club can ship to?
By law, alcohol cannot be shipped to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.

I live in one of the states to which you currently deliver, but have tried to order in the past from other companies and haven't been able to. How am I able to order through the USA TODAY Wine Club?
Regulations regarding the shipment of wine change and are state specific. The USA TODAY Wine Club and My Wines Direct, through their fulfillment providers, designated vendors and partners, are in compliance with all requirements for legally shipping and delivering wine to members living in the states to which we ship.

Can I ship overnight?
We offer 2nd day shipping options for most states for products in the Wine Shop.

How can I track my order?
If your e-mail address is in your account, we will e-mail you a shipping notification containing the carrier and tracking number when your shipment is on its way. Or you may contact us via email (memberservices@usatodaywineclub.com) or phone toll-free at 866-813-4411 for assistance in tracking your order.

How will I know a new club shipment is on its way?
We will send you both an order and ship confirmation. They will be sent out the first week in December, march, June, September with a variety selected for the season.

What if there is something wrong with the wine (i.e.: broken in transit)?
Please email or call us and we'll get you a replacement. If there is evident carrier damage, you can let them know upon delivery. Then call us and we will replace it for you.

Ordering FAQs

Do I need to be a member to order?
Upon your initial purchase of a Club shipment you are a member of the Wine Club and receive quarterly shipments. Anyone can order 3 or 6 bottle packs of individual wines from the Wine Shop.

Am I required to order in the future?
There is no obligation to make future orders. Unlike a record club, you are not committed to buying repeatedly. You can cancel at anytime or continue to enjoy new wines each quarter.

Can I place my order over the phone instead of online?
Of course! Please call one of our Member Service Representatives toll-free at 1-877-946-3414 (1-877-WINE-14). We want to ensure that our members are completely satisfied with their membership and ordering experience.

Do I have to pay Sales Tax on my order?
State sales tax will be applied to orders according to the following schedule: AZ 9.05%; CA 8.75%; CT 6.0%; FL 6%; ID 6.0%; IL 8.5%; KS 8.0%; LA 4.0%; MI 6.0%; NC 6.75%; ND 7.0%; NE 5.5%; NV 6.5%; NJ 7.0%; NY 8.0%, SC 6.0%; TN 9.25%; TX 8.25%; VA 5.0%; VT 6.0%; WV 0%; WA 7.5%; WI 5.0%; WY 0%.

Are there are age restrictions placed on orders from My Wines Direct?
In order to prevent purchases of alcohol by minors, an adult (21 years of age or older) signature is required by law for delivery of all orders.

If no adult will be available at your home to sign for your package, we encourage you to have your wine delivered to your office.

My Wines Direct complies with all federal, state and local laws regarding the sale of alcohol to minors.

  1. We clearly state whenever an order is placed that no purchase may be made by anyone under 21 years of age.
  2. The member must provide, under penalty of perjury, confirmation that they are at least 21 years old when upon purchase of My Wines Direct.
  3. All shipments require an adult (21 years of age or older) signature; proof of age will be verified by the delivery carrier.
  4. No deliveries will be made to a visibly intoxicated person.

Will I receive a confirmation of my order?
We will send an order confirmation to the email address associated with the account.

Why am I buying through My Wines Direct?
The USA TODAY Wine Club is powered by My Wines Direct, which means that all products are sold and/or delivered by our wine merchant, My Wines Direct, and orders for such products are subject to their or their designated vendors' acceptance.

What payment options do I have in ordering through My Wines Direct?
You must provide My Wines Direct with a valid credit card for the subscription and other charges associated with your Account. At this time, My Wines Direct accepts payment through the following credit card types: Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express® and Discover®. Should you experience any problems while placing an order, a Member Service Representative is available to assist and place the order for you. Please call toll-free 1-877-946-3414 (1-877-WINE-414).

If your credit card expires, is canceled, is lost or is subject to use without your authorization, you must promptly give My Wines Direct notice of a replacement credit card or corrected information either by updating you're My Account profile on the usatodaywineclub.com website, calling toll-free 866-813-4411 or by sending an email to memberservices@usatodaywineclub.com. My Wines Direct will not be responsible for any fees, penalties, costs or expenses associated with insufficient funds or any charge or attempted charge of your membership fee to a credit or debit card. You agree to be financially responsible for all usage and activity on your Account. In the event My Wines Direct is not able to charge your credit card for the subscription or other fees, we reserve the right to terminate your membership.

What is the USA TODAY Wine Club cancellation policy?
You can cancel at any time. Please contact our member services team to process this for you. They can be reached toll-free at 866-813-4411.

Gift Wine Clubs:  How it works
The USA TODAY Wine Club offers 2 and 4 shipment Wine Gift Clubs.  When you choose to purchase either the 2 or 4 shipment club, your recipient will receive immediately the current 6 bottle collection of wine featured in the club of 4 reds and 2 whites.  The next shipment(s) will be of the future collections in March, June, and September.

Is there a recurring monthly fee?
No, both our 2 and 4 shipment wine clubs are paid for up front, so there is no recurring fee.

Where should I have the wines sent?
Someone 21+ must be present to sign for the wines upon delivery.  You will want to make sure you notify your recipient of this requirement.

Can I change the shipping address for the Wine Gift Club?
Yes, contact our customer service team at 866-813-4411 and we can take care of this for you.

When do the wines arrive?
The first Wine Gift Club shipment is sent when it is ordered. Follow up shipments are scheduled to arrive in early March, June, and September. Because of different locations and shipping times, we cannot give an exact date for delivery.

Can I cancel any future shipments?
If you purchased the wine club, you can cancel and receive a pro-rated credit to your credit card for any shipments that have not been sent.
